VIDAL TO RETURN FOR JUVENTUS CLASH

Inter Milan midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to return to action in time for the crucial Italian Serie A clash with holders Juventus. Inter Milan and Juventus are active participants in the Serie A title race this season and they both meet in the Derby d'Italiaat the San Siro on Sunday. Vidal sustained a thigh injury during the 2-2 draw with AS Roma in the league at the weekend and the Chilean international went through some tests earlier today to determine the severity of the thigh problem. According to the latest edition of popular Italian news outlet Gazzettadello Sport on Monday night, Arturo Vidal would recover in time for the Juventus game at the weekend as the injury was not a serious one.


Arturo Vidal would be looking forward to face his former employers as he tries to find his form at Inter Milan. The ex-Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has not hit the heights since joining the Nerazzuri from Barcelona last summer. He has contributed just two assists in 19 appearances for Inter Milan this term.

Arturo Vidal will certainly miss the Coppa Italia clash with Fiorentinaon Wednesday as he recovers from the thigh injury sustained against AS Roma at the weekend. Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is expected to make several changes to his starting XI for the Fiorentina game at the StadioArtemioFranchi with a place in the quarterfinals up for grabs. Reports in the Italian media revealed that Christian Eriksen will start the Coppa Italia outing with Fiorentina. The Danish international playmaker has not been able to break into the Inter Milan XI this season and he has been linked with a lot of clubs outside Italy in the current January transfer window. He joined Inter Milan from Tottenham Hotspur in a €20m deal one year ago.
