Stefano Pioli Urges Inter Milan to Retain Concentration

Stefano Pioli has urged the players to concentrate on continuing the recent run of form, as he feels that Inter Milan have not achieved anything despite this good run.

Four wins in the last five games has seen the club closed the gap on third placed Napoli down to just six points. Qualification to the Champions League next season remains the priority for Inter Milan, who have not finished higher than fourth since the 2011-12 season. The recent run of form has been even better when concerned with all competitions across the last 10 games. The recent 1-0 win over Bologna was the ninth win in these 10 matches.

Despite this run of form, it is surprising to know that Inter Milan still remain only fourth in the table. This poor position has been down to the externally poor start made by the club under the regime of Frank de Boer.

The former Ajax manager was replaced by Pioli only in November and the turnaround in fortunes for Inter Milan has been quite amazing. Inter Milan are aware that they are fast running out of games in order to catch Napoli. Both Napoli and Roma are seen as the realistic contenders for Inter Milan, and they have dropped very few points in the last five games.

"I have a team that believes until the end. The right opportunity arrived and we were ready to take it.We struggled with an opponent that closed down very well. We had no rhythm and were slow, especially in central areas and did not play as well as we know we can.The only feeling at the moment is satisfaction at work well done, in seeing what my players give. We must continue, as we've achieved nothing yet,” said Pioli after the win over Bologna.
