ENGLISH TRIO KEEN ON INTER DEFENDER

Three English teams are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan defender AndreawGravillon. This is according to the publication from Foot Mercato which stated that three teams in the Premier League want to signthe 23-year-old player. The Premier League sides keen to sign Gravillon are newly crowned FA Cup champions Leicester City, London club Crystal Palace and Southampton.

AndreawGravillon has had an eventful two years at Inter Milan since joining the Italian football giants in 2019. He has been sent out on loan from Inter Milan four times. The four loan spells include a brief one at fellow Italian football club Sassuolo. He has spent this season on loan at Lorient in France.

ITALIAN DERBY: INTER BEATEN AT JUVE

Inter Milan and Juventus served up a treat in the latest instalment of the Italian Derby. The game had everything from penalties to sending offs to own goal and much more. Inter Milan and Juventus produced a five-goal thriller with the former ending on the wrong side of the scoreline.

Juventus knew that only a win in the Italian Derby clash with Inter Milan would be enough to maintain their push for Europe's premier club competition and they were able to meet their target even if the Old Ladyleft it lateto secure the three points at stake.

KOLAROV SET TO LEAVE INTER

Serbian international player Alexander Kolarov is on course to leave Inter Milan at the end of the season with clubs in Italy and Serbia interested in him. The specific report from Italian media outlet Sempre Inter said that both Hellas Verona of Italy and Red Star Belgrade in his native Serbia want to sign the former Manchester City and Lazio player when the summer transfer window resumes in two months’ time.

Kolarov is in his debut season at Inter Milan following his move from fellow Italian Serie A club AS Roma last summer. The Serbian has not played much like he would have liked under manager Antonio Conte this season. He has had limited playing time at the San Sirodue to the combination of injuries and limited opportunities. The former Roma and City attacker has played just seven games for the Nerazzuri this season.

SERIE A: INTER NEED FIVE WINS

Inter Milan have watched Italian football rivals Juventus dominate the Serie A for the better part of the last decade and it was right that the Nerazzuri would be the club to halt that run though they still have a bit of work to do to make that possible.

Juventus have won the Italian Serie A for the last nine seasonsto take their league tally to a record-extending 36 times. Inter Milan and AC Milan are joint second with 18 league titles plus 15 times as runners-up.

Inter Milan have opened up an 11-point lead at the top of the table with eight games to go and if they go on to win the title , the Nerazzuri fans would be able to celebrate stopping Juventus from winning a special tenth successive league title for a long time.

LUKAKU ON TARGET AGAINST CZECH REPUBLIC

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku was the recipient of the lone goal scored by the Red Devils of Belgium as they dropped points for the first time in their qualifiers ahead of the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar. Belgium are the number one country on the latest FIFA Rankings and they were forced to a 1-1 draw by hosts Czech Republic at the Eden Arena in Prague on Saturday night. It was their second qualifying match in Group E of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers as far as the European section is concerned. Inter Milan hitman Lukaku had been on target in the first qualifier on Wednesday night as he helped his team overcome Wales. He scored the third goal as Belgium came from behind to beat Wales 3-1 at home.

HOW INTER CAN WIN LEAGUE TITLE

Serie A leaders Inter Milan have moved a step closer to winning a first league title in over a decade after the battling win over hosts Torino at the weekend. The slender away victory over Torino coupled with the defeat suffered by city rivals AC Milan in second place ensured that Inter Milan are edging closer to a first league title since a certain Jose Mourinho led the Nerazzuri to the league title at the end of the 2009/10 season. It was one of three trophies won by Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan that season. The Portuguese tactician led the Nerazzuri to an unprecedented treble after they won the UEFA Champions League and the Coppa Italia in addition to the Italian Serie A title. Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is hoping to follow in his footsteps by leading the same team to the league title in the top flight of club football in Italy. Conte and his Inter Milan team had to wait till the last five minutes to secure their latest win in the Italian Serie A at the expense of Torino.

ATLANTA UNITED AGREE DEAL FOR DEFENDER

Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Atlanta United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign a centre back from Argentina. This is not surprising since the MLS club is being managed by an Argentine at the moment after Gabriel Heinze was appointed into the role towards the end of last year. Ex-Argentine national team player Gabriel Heinze has been given the task of taking Atlanta United forward ahead of the 2021 MLS season billed to start in the coming weeks. According to Argentine reporter German Garcia Grova, Atlanta United have made a concrete move in a bid to bolster the defensive options on offer for Gabriel Heinze ahead of the new season. Grova said that Atlanta United and Velez Sarsfield have agreed a deal for Argentine centre back Lautaro Giannetti to join Gabriel Heinze in the MLS.

INTER FAIL IN COPPA ITALIA BID

Inter Milan have failed in their bid to qualify for the Coppa Italia final ahead of rivals Juventus after they could not overturn the first leg deficit when the two teams met at the Allianz Arena Stadium for the second leg. Juventus had earlier beaten hosts Inter Milan 2-1 in the first leg meeting played last week Tuesday.


Inter Milan were unable to hold on to the early advantage given to them by star forward Lautaro Martinez inside nine minutes as Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the space of nine first half minutes to turn the game on its head in the favour of Juventus. Ronaldo scored the equaliser for the Turin giants from the spot on 26 minutes after Ashley Young had brought down Juan Cuadrado in the Inter Milan box.

INTER EYE RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

Inter Milan are eyeing a return to victory ways in the league ahead of the visit of Benevento on Saturday night. Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte had masterminded the rise of his team to the top two places on the Italian Serie A table following the run of eight straight wins but they have stuttered in recent games.


Inter Milan have picked up just two wins from the last five games in the league on the back of the eight-game winning run pointed out earlier as they have failed to take advantage of the recent poor form of league leaders and city rivals AC Milan.

VIDAL TO RETURN FOR JUVENTUS CLASH

Inter Milan midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to return to action in time for the crucial Italian Serie A clash with holders Juventus. Inter Milan and Juventus are active participants in the Serie A title race this season and they both meet in the Derby d'Italiaat the San Siro on Sunday. Vidal sustained a thigh injury during the 2-2 draw with AS Roma in the league at the weekend and the Chilean international went through some tests earlier today to determine the severity of the thigh problem. According to the latest edition of popular Italian news outlet Gazzettadello Sport on Monday night, Arturo Vidal would recover in time for the Juventus game at the weekend as the injury was not a serious one.


Arturo Vidal would be looking forward to face his former employers as he tries to find his form at Inter Milan. The ex-Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has not hit the heights since joining the Nerazzuri from Barcelona last summer. He has contributed just two assists in 19 appearances for Inter Milan this term.
