Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan are one of three teams without defeat in the competition this season ahead of the tricky trip to Sassuolo this weekend. Newly appointed Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has made a decent start at the club though a good Champions League group stage campaign would go a long way to improve his standing amongst the Inter Milan fans and owner.

There has been no draw in the Italian Serie A clash between Sassuolo and Inter Milan in the last eight meetings. Sassuolo and Inter Milan have four wins each from those eight meetings.

Apart from Inter Milan, city rivals AC Milan and Napoli are the other two teams who have not tasted defeat in the Italian top flight this season. It must be pointed out that all three clubs have been beaten on the European football stage since the new season started some weeks ago.
Hosts Sassuolo will have to navigate the Inter Milan game without Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang. The ex-West Ham United player has been ruled out of the game due to pneumonia. Sassuolo boss AlessioDionisi has a big decision to make in his attack ahead of the game as he has to choose between Giacomo Scamacca or Gianluca Raspadorito start against the Nerazzuri. Both players were linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer. Raspadori has been the preferred choice this season with Scamacca still looking for his first start this season.
On his part, Inter Milan manager Inzaghi could freshen up his starting XI after their Champions League trip to Ukraine earlier this week and that could lead to a place on the bench for EdinDzeko with fellow summer signing Joaquin Correa likely to start in his place. Inzaghi has to pick between Federico DiMarco and Ivan Perisic on the left side of his five-man defence, while Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries are the options available to him on the right side of defence for the Sassuolo clash.
