INTER READY TO SELL

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to sell their star midfielder Wesley Sneijder to a club either in England or in Spain.

It is thought that the midfielder would be more interested to play in England given that he has already experienced the Spanish league.

Wesley Sneijder was signed from Real Madrid for around £14 million and he has to do to be one of the best signings of the decade. It is thought that he would command around £ 25 million in transfer fees, while the wages will be definitely a source of concern for clubs trying to sign the midfielder.

Manchester United had been linked with the player for a long time, but it is thought that they had cooled their interest since Wesley Sneijder is nearing the 30 year mark.

United rarely sign players nearing 30 years of age and Wesley Sneijder seems to be no exception. As a result, Inter Milan are trying to sell their midfielder by offering him to the current sensation in the Premier League – Tottenham.

Despite not spending a lot of money, Harry Redknapp's Tottenham side have been extremely brilliant in the Premier League so far. They are currently ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool in the Premier League table. They are only a few points behind leaders Manchester United and Manchester City.

"It is not easy to get players in January. I am not quite sure if you went for a player if he could play in the Europa League. There is criteria there in the sense of playing in the Champions League and whether they could play in the Europa League," Sir Alex Ferguson thus ruled out signing Wesley Sneijder in the January transfer window.

Given Rafael van der Vaart's injury problems, Wesley Sneijder would be a great signing for Tottenham, though whether they could tempt him from Inter (one of the main CL contenders according to the latest Champions League odds) remains to be seen.
