INTER MILAN STRIKER INSISTS ON STAYING

FC Internazionale Milano striker, Mauro Icardi, says he is very happy to stay on with the club.

The Argentine centre forward has been linked with many English Premier League sides, especially Chelsea and Manchester United, in a big summer transfer move.

The impressive striker, who is only 23 years old, has his contract running with the Italian outfit till June 2019.

The player, who has put 15 goals past the goal keeper in 29 Serie A matches this season, completely ruled out a move from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, insisting on continuing with the club.

Inter Milan sit in fourth position in the Serie A league having garnered 61 points from 33 matches prosecuted this season.

The 18-time Serie A champion are allowing the youngster make his choice on his career. Manchester United and Chelsea still keep tabs on him, hoping to lure him from the club especially with Juventus overshadowing everyone else in the league. The argentine has still refused to bulge. He keeps on insisting on growing with the club and helping it challenge for silverware.

"It's the same story every year. Every year I read that I am leaving Inter.

"But I am happy here. I enjoy being Inter captain, being the club's striker and to score goals here.

"Of course, I want to win trophies, but I want to do it here at Inter, like so many did before me.

"Next year we will be gunning for the Serie A title and to qualify for the Champions League," Icardi told Corriere della Sera.

The striker signed his current deal with the club in the summer of last year and has a huge task of winning any title with the club. However, Inter Milan has won three of their last five matches. They defeated Bologna at home 2-1, played a one all draw with rival, Roma but lost to Torino at home. They came back with an away goal win against Frosinone and an impressive performance against Napoli winning by two goals.
