Rafinha Wants Inter Milan Stay Irrespective Of Champions League Football

Brazilian footballer Rafinha is reportedly keen to remain at Inter Milan next season, according to his father. Speaking on FC Inter News, he said: “Everything depends on what Inter want to do. Whether they qualify for the Europa League or Champions League is irrelevant. For me, it makes sense for the Nerazzurri to keep such an important player like Rafa.He is young and has a big future ahead of him. Inter Milan Boss Disappointed With Torino Defeat

Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has admitted that the Nerazzurri could not produce their best performance as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Torino. Adem Ljajic scored the only goal of the game during the first period, and this saw the Nerazzurri drop out of the Champions League positions with seven games to play.

Speaking after the game, Spalletti admitted that the Nerazzurri were not in the best of form despite having numerous attempts on the opposition goal, he said: “Sometimes, things just do not go your way no matter how hard you work. Today we didn’t move the ball around enough, and we wasted energy chasing down their counter attacks. We needed to show more aggression in recovering the ball after we lost it and we should have kept Torino pinned in their half. We tried today, but, there is always in an opponent to overcome to get a result.”

The midfielder started his Hammers career in a relatively strong fashion, but over the past month, the fans have slated his showing on the playing field.

3 Games to make the Champions League

Inter Milan have three games to go in their Serie A campaign, and they have a four-point gap to close if they are to make the Champions League. Right now, they sit fourth with 66 points, but to reach the Champions League next season they have to finish in the top four, which means catching either Lazio or Roma, who both have 70 points going into this weekend.

The climax of the Italian league at the top will be all about this battle as the title looks all but set to go to Juventus. The giants of Italian football are 1/25 to lift the title in the latest Serie A betting after building a four-point cushion over their only remaining rivals Napoli. With that battle almost certain to be over by the time we reach the final weekend, all eyes will be on Inter Milan and their quest for fourth place, something which looks set to go down to the wire.
