Ac.Milan and Inter Milan sharing San Siro Since 1947

Ac.Milan and Inter Milan have been sharing the San Siro stadium since 1947 but things might be changing within the next years as Ac.Milan has published a plan on constructing a new 48,000 seater stadium in an area of land which is not being used.

The Italian side has already claimed that this prospective new home for the fans of Ac.Milan would be one of the most innovative stadiums in the world which will incorporate a hotel, a sports college, restaurants, a children’s playground, green areas and a number of other things.

If the plans of Ac.Milan does indeed go through and they everything going with the new stadium, this will leave Inter Milan as the only tenants of the state-owned Giuseppe Meazza Stadium and the club owned by the Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir will attempt to secure the venue for themselves.

Erick Thohir desires to reduce the capacity of the stadium from 80,000 to 56,000 as he wants to remove the upper section as it has proved very difficult for both Inter Milan and Ac.Milan on actually filling up the entire stadium.

Juventus is the last club in the Serie A to have fully completed their stadium which has a capacity of 41,000 and it seems to have a perfect amount as it’s almost full in every single match but this is not happening to their rivals Inter Milan and Ac.Milan as they keep on dropping their fanbase in each season due to disappointing seasons with each club located in the middle section of the Italian League and would take almost a miracle for them to qualify into the Champions League.

The agent of Mario Balotelli and ZlatanIbrahimovic, Mino Raiola not too long ago stated that Inter Milan and Ac.Milan have to merge together or work something out in order to become the strong teams that they once were some years ago. A change or renovation of the stadium is one way to start off.
